Hiking beyond the ordinary
Live well, eat well and hike in fantastic natural environments. You can walk along the entire coastal strip & be captivated by magnificent views. You can walk from coast to coast across the Bjäre Peninsula in one day and finish with a cold bath, a seaweed bath or a bath in warm outdoor pools. You can also hike in deep forests on Hallandsåsen, in crisp beech forest, magical spruce forest or why not picturesque village walks in Båstad or Torekov.
And of cours you don´t want to miss the dramatic cliffs at Hovs Hallar who also been awarded with "Treasures of european film culture". Some of the most famous scenes in film history have been filmed here. Most famous is the one where Max von Sydow plays chess against Death in Bergman's The Seventh Seal. Hov's halls have also represented Spitsbergen in Troell's film Engineer Andrée's flight.
Pioneers grow wine in Skåne
There are a handful of wineries to visit on the Bjäre Peninsula today and close to 20 growers around the peninsula who are all driven by new thinking and big visions. The industry is in its infancy in our part of the world, and a visit to a vineyard in northwestern Scania is a unique experience. In addition to wineries, there are a number of exciting beverage producers on Bjärehalövn whose beverages you can purchase in the local farm shops or enjoy in restaurants.

Events all year round in Båstad
It started with the famous tennis week and nowadays over 170 fantastic event days are arranged in Båstad every year. The Summer On music festival, the Craft Fair, the hypercarevent Aurora, the Birgit Nilsson Operafestival and the Yoga Games are just some of the popular events that attract visitors all year round.
